She
is an excellent artist. Her arts are born from her heart. She is good
at the creative art, nature and art related to life. When we look at
her art we are speechless. Her paintings speak more than a thousand
words can. She is an artist who can give life to things with her
brush strokes.
She
is currently working as an “Art Teacher at the Canara Girls’
High School, Dongarakeri, Mangalore”. She was born on August 7,
1966. She started her painting when she was in High School. She went
to “Mahalasa School of arts, Mangalore” to pursue art and
got diploma. She also went to BGM as a part of hobby class for
one year. She also did her Art Master course in Fine Arts in 1992.
Apart
from her art life, she is married to Mr. K. Ramananda Rao, a
businessman, and she has three children- daughter Ramya and sons
Shrinidhi and Raghavendra and she takes care of all the
responsibilities and commitments that she has for her family.
She
expert in various art medias like pencil work, charcoal painting,
charcoal wash work, nib painting, knife work, collage, metal
embossing, oil painting on canvas, poster colour, and water colour.
She
conducted solo art exhibitions in many places like Puttur, Bantwal,
Mysore, Mangalore, Wales, U.K. During her professional career, she
has conducted summer camp every year and taught pot, glass and fabric
paintings, doll making and other craft items to the students and her
colleagues.
Some of her exhibitions and achievements are as follows:
In
the year 1984: She won first prize in the art
Exhibition/competition conducted during the Dasara Art Exhibition at
Mysore.
In
the year 1987: She secured II Rank in state in Higher Grade
Drawing Examination.
In
the year 1990: She had participated in art exhibition held at
Dharmastala, which was a state level art exhibition.
In the year 1991:
She had exhibited her arts in the “Scientific and
Educational Exhibition” arranged in Sri Dharmasthala
Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire in connection with the silver
jubilee celebration.
In the year 1995:
She acquired her course in yoga at “Shree Siddavana
Gurukula”, Ujire.
In the year 2000:
She had exhibited her paintings during the inaugural function of
“Shathabdi Art Gallery”, Udupi.
In the year 2001:
She secured consolation prizes for state level “Anche-Kuncha”
competition.
In the year 2002:
She had participated in the on the spot painting and exhibition
called “Yakshavarna”. During this year she had also
conducted a camp called “Spandana” in her school for the
children of various schools during summer vacation and children were
thought the different kinds of art forms.
In the year 2005:
She had exhibited her arts in the Art exhibition conducted at the
“Prasad Art Gallery”.
In the year 2007:
She participated in “Kudla Kalavali”, Kalaamela held
at Kadri Park, Mangalore. During this year she also had attended the
training program conducted by the C.C.R.T. which was held at
Sikkim.
In the year 2010:
She participated in “Varna Jagrati” which was a on the
spot painting and also was an art exhibition held in the presence of
Dr.M.Mohan Alva in Moodbidri. She also participated in “Varushada
Harusha” drawing teacher’s art exhibition. During this year
she had been to Hyderabad for the work shop on “Socially
Useful Productive Work/Work Experience”.
In the year 2012:
She had been to “Litchard Primary School, Bridgend, Wales,
U.K.” for the “Global Partnership Project-2012”
under the sponsorship of “British Council”. She had also
exhibited her painting here the farewell function in U.K.
In the year 2013:
Participated in the “State Level Drawing Teacher’s
Association Program” and exhibited her paintings.
